We want to say thank-you for all your support as we raised over $4000.00 in one night for the Ethan Collins Scholarship Fund in Lancaster on February 4.Fairfield County Deputy Sheriff Ethan Collins

I am so proud of the members of One True North as we have traveled many places to make a difference. Great sound! Great hearts! Great cause!

Thanks again, Rich, for talking about the Ethan Collins Scholarship Fund. A special thanks goes to the T.V. media who covered the event. It was carried by Channels 4, 6, 10 and 28 over the weekend and more donations came in Sunday by re-airing the shows. I want to personally thank them for helping in such a significant way.

Michael was recently interviewed on the WRFD 880 AM radio program "Poetry and Praise". It was a great show. If you didn't get a chance to listen to it, check back here because we're in the process of setting up a link to some of the interview so that you can hear what Michael shared with the "Poetry and Praise" listeners.

Good things happen when good people share.

The Ronald McDonald House

These last five years as you have bought my CDs and have left money on stage while we played at various benefits sponsored by local organizations like M/I Homes, Bob Evans Restaurants and the Linden Eagles, I have added all that money to part of my CD sales and donated it to Children's Hospital.

Now your generosity and hard work have paid off.  On March 11, 2005, the new Ronald McDonald House opened. This building allows parents and children who are suffering with life-threatening medical problems to be together during their time of need.  The Hospital takes on all types of cases regardless of ability to pay.

I am proud that this hospital is located in my hometown of Columbus, Ohio and that I have been associated with the M/I Schottenstein Group for 16 years.  They have led the way in making the dream of a new Ronald McDonald House now become a reality.

I'm equally proud of all of you folks from Columbus and central Ohio who have supported me and my music for the important part you've played in easing the burden that unfortunately so many children and parents must bear.

I will never forget the night when we played at the Linden Eagles (the neighborhood where I grew up) and people there threw more than $650.00 on the stage.  It all came from their hearts.  I just want you to know that you are part of this building.

Thank you,
Michael

One of our favorite places to play is at the
Harvest Moon Coffee House
in Canal Winchester.

Recently, One True North was glad be a part of a Fund Raiser for Children's Hospital. With the help of O.S.U. coaches Jim Tressel and Jim O'Brien and a small army of volunteers, $123,000 was raised that day.   Good job, Lynn !

This was our second time there
and we will be back next year !

Little side note: The coaches are
better coaches than musicians. (ha ha)

For several years now, we've played at a private parties for Bob Evans Restaurants and are proud to be able to say that part of the proceeds went to benefit Children's Hospital.

The annual Tennessee Ernie Ford Reunion in Bristol, Tennessee gives us a chance to see our friends in the Smokies and play some great old gospel music with them.

One True North has headlined for some gospel groups and shared in an afternoon of full fellowship in the mountains.

Tennessee Ernie Ford was from Bristol and did many positive things for the community there. It was nice to see him recognized not only as a singer, but as a Christian.

We were amazed at the talent assembled in one small place and everyone was amazed at the Booher family as they put on a great show. (They just received a record deal and you will be hearing about them.)

One True North followed the Booher family with a great sound and harmonies. The people liked us and invited us back for next year. That is always nice to hear. A special thanks to Jody McCall for the beautiful cabin and food and above all things, for her kindness.

Looking forward to next year..
